Academic writing, Mennonite history, and War and Peace in the Middle East will be the first three University of Winnipeg courses offered at Eastman Education Centre beginning in January 2007.

These three credit hour undergraduate courses mark the first time Steinbach and area residents can study at The University of Winnipeg without traveling to the downtown Winnipeg campus.

“We are excited about the opportunity to expand University of Winnipeg programs beyond the city limits and contribute to the career and personal development of Manitobans in the south-east quadrant of our province,” said Lloyd Axworthy, President of The University of Winnipeg. “Students from this area are currently underrepresented at the university and we want to change that.”
