UWinnipeg congratulates its Aurora Family Therapy Centre Program graduates

The University of Winnipeg congratulates this year’s cohort of graduates from the Aurora Family Therapy Centre and the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy Program, who celebrated their achievements on Saturday, June 13, 2015.

This is the Centre’s 43rd year of service to the community, and the graduating class is the third-largest to date. All but one of the eleven people receiving a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree this year attended the event, and each offered touching words about their time in the program, which includes 500 hours of clinical experience working directly with clients under supervision.

Twenty-four certificates in Marriage and Family Theory or in Marriage and Family Therapy were also presented at the event.

“As the largest graduate program at The University of Winnipeg, we are very proud of our students’ achievements and what they will be able to provide to the larger community,” said John Smyth, Executive Director of the Aurora Family Therapy Centre.

Administratively, the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy Program will move into UWinnipeg’s Faculty of Education in the fall of 2015.
