The United Way Pedometer Challenge

Calling all Fitness Enthusiasts!!

During the week of November 23-27, 2009, the Kinesiology Department and the Kinesiology Students Association is hosting a pedometer challenge in support of the United Way. We encourage all students, faculty members and employees of The University of Winnipeg to participate.

Radio host Ace Burpee kickstarts the challenge on November 23 at 12:30 pm at the Duckworth Centre with Diana Bloodworth, of the United Way and Valerie Gilroy, UWinnipeg’s Chair of the 2009 United Way Campaign.

The challenge will take place from November 24-26, 2009. Steps will be tallied and winners will be presented on November 27, 2009 at 12:30 pm in the Duckworth Lounge. Chrissy Troy will be on hand to congratulate the top three challenger winners and the top department.

There is a $10 entry free and all pledges and entry fees will be donated to the United Way.

To participate, you must register with your department chair. Only 10 participants per department are allowed so register early.

To enter download an entry form and a pledge form or pick one up from the Kinesiology Department office or from the UWSA. Please read the procedures & guidelines.
