Sinclair lecture postponed, free panel discussion this evening

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this evening’s campus lecture featuring Senator Murray Sinclair (part of UWinnipeg’s spring institute “The University and the Public Good”) has been postponed.

In its place will be a panel discussion on the topic “Indigenizing the University,” with Dr. Niigaanwewidam James Sinclair, Department of Native Studies at the University of Manitoba; Dr. Mary Jane Logan McCallum, Department of History at The University of Winnipeg; and a third panelist to be confirmed. The discussion will be moderated by Kevin Lamoureux, UWinnipeg’s Associate Vice-president, Indigenous Affairs.

The panel discussion will take place this evening (Friday, May 5) at 6:00 pm in Convocation Hall (2nd Floor, Wesley) on UWinnipeg’s campus and is free and open to the public.

Reserved seat holders and pass holders will be able to attend the rescheduled lecture by Senator Sinclair (date to be determined).

The University of Winnipeg regrets any inconvenience resulting from the change to event programming.
