Seven teams competed to be crowned champions of the 48th annual Duckworth Great Rock Climb on Monday, September 16, with one narrowly coming out victorious.
Team Alpha Omega put up a blistering time of 24.40 seconds, challenged only by the final team, BB Champions, who finished just behind at 25.75 seconds. The Wesmen men’s volleyball team rounded out the top three with a time of 36.17 seconds.
The Duckworth Great Rock Climb features teams of three that race down the front lawn from the steps of Wesley Hall and scale the giant 14-ton granite “Rock of Remembrance,” which sits near Portage Avenue. The current record is 9.40 seconds set in 1979.
