Parminder Gill – Science Savvy Collegiate Student

WINNIPEG, MB – The University of Winnipeg Collegiate grade 12 student and graduate, Parminder Gill earned the prestigious Special Faculty Award from his alma mater on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.

“Parminder is a student that has always stood out,” expressed Robert Bend, Dean of the Collegiate.  ”He has earned the respect and admiration of his peers, teachers and administrators alike. His enthusiasm is infectious. He has an exemplary work ethic, persistence and endless patience, which was illustrated by winning two awards for his project entitled, Harnessing the Power of Bacillus Megaterium with the Aide of Curcumin at the 2011 Manitoba Schools Science Symposium representing the Collegiate.”

This young man has a unique ability to garner support from those around him. This is due, in no small way, to the manner in which he unconditionally accepts, respects and engages his peers and teachers.

The University of Winnipeg looks forward to Gill completing his studies at UWinnipeg and encourage his commitment to academics and community.
