Our Shared Future: A Book on Reconciliation
A new groundbreaking book on reconciliation, Our Shared Future – Windows into Canada’s Reconciliation Journey, was published this week.
This peer-reviewed book contains contributions from some of Canada’s leading scholars and leaders in reconciliation. It includes University of Winnipeg President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Annette Trimbee and other UWinnipeg alumni, including editors Laura E. Reimer and Robert Chrismas, and contributors Loretta Ross and Christa Yeates. Brian Rice, another fellow contributor, has ties to UWinnipeg. He taught in the Department of Education until his retirement.
This book provides deep insights and varied perspectives of innovative and courageous efforts to reconcile the conflicts that have characterized the history of Indigenous people, settlers, and their descendants in Canada.
