Fees waived for applicants from seven countries

“The University of Winnipeg today announced it is waiving application fees for undergraduate and graduate students from the seven predominantly Muslim countries affected by the immigration ban signed by the United States President.

Students from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen can now apply to UWinnipeg for the 2017/18 academic year without paying the $110 international application fee.

Like other Canadian universities, we value the diversity and talent our international students bring to campus and recognize the travel ban is causing uncertainty and anxiety to students from those affected countries. Our goal is to help alleviate that stress and ensure students from all parts of the globe know they are welcome in Canada and at The University of Winnipeg.”
