Dr. Neil Besner, UWinnipeg’s Vice-President (Research, Recruitment and International) and Acting Provost and Vice-President (Academic ), is one of 15 senior education leaders who are visiting Ukraine this week for a series of events that will bring together top institutional administrators from the two countries. The group of leading Canadian educators is working to develop cooperation and collaboration with Ukraine and its institutions.
“The University of Winnipeg has a keen interest in continuing to strengthen our academic connections with Ukraine, particularly in light of Manitoba’s substantial and vibrant Ukrainian community,” says Dr. Besner.
The visit is organized by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). Several Memoranda of Understanding will be signed during the mission, including an overarching agreement between the CBIE and the Union of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine.
