DCE Opens Doors for its Students

Discover How UWinnipeg’s Division Of Continuing Education Can Change Your Life

stephThe University of Winnipeg’s Division of Continuing Education’s 350 progressive programs and courses can open doors, enhance careers and earn people more money. To show people how this is possible, DCE’s faculty and staff invite employers and prospective students to the DCE Open House,Wed. Aug. 15 from 3:00-6:00 pm at 294 William Avenue.

“This Open House is a fantastic opportunity for perspective students to meet with academic advisors and DCE staff to discover how to upgrade their professional skills or make a career change,” said Erin Stewart, DCE Acting Dean of Educational Programs. “DCE offers numerous programs that are easily accessible to adult learners. And the great thing is DCE courses can often be transferable towards a degree program at UWinnipeg.”

The Open House will showcase the variety of DCE programs and also offer free career counseling and academic advising to help potential students see the ideal educational and career improvements available to them. DCE courses are vehicles for self-improvement. The courses can improve your current professional skills or they can simply be taken for interest’s sake. Programs are offered in the evenings and on weekends to fit any schedule.

DCE makes life-long learning accessible for students who come from all walks of life, age groups and backgrounds. Established in 1972, DCE is a dynamic learning centre that offers high-quality courses in a range of subject areas in a learning environment designed for the very best educational experience.

DCE is conveniently located in the heart of Winnipeg’s historical Exchange District, adjacent to Red River College’s downtown campus. DCE offers many programs including Professional Studies, Information Technology, 55 Plus, International Languages as well as an Educational Assistant Diploma.
