2014 Randy Kobes poster competition

Entries are now being accepted for the 10th annual Randy Kobes Undergraduate Science Student Poster Competition, which will take place on September 16, 2015. Click here for more information.

Please inform eligible undergraduate students of this valuable opportunity to obtain experience in presentations of research (a great skill to have, especially if a student plans to continue with graduate work).

Due to the wide range of topics displayed, the poster and presentation should be aimed at the level of an (informed) general public, as the judges are not experts in the fields presented. Examples of posters can be found along the west corridor of the 2nd floor of Centennial Hall near the Physics area (entries must be no larger than 45 inches wide by 35 inches high).

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three posters!

This competition is open to all undergraduate students who performed scientific research at The University of Winnipeg under the supervision of a faculty member or with a faculty member sponsor (this includes summer projects and honour’s theses). To be eligible, the student should have been enrolled in an undergraduate program in the 2014-2015 school year OR will be an undergraduate in the 2015-2016 school year.

How to Enter: Send an email with the name of the student, and the name of the student’s supervisor, to uwpostercontest@gmail.com

*Competition space is limited, so only the first 36 entries will be accepted. The deadline to enter is August 28th, 2015.
