Congratulations to all the graduates and honourees of UWinnipeg’s 2017 Autumn Convocation on Friday, October 13, 2017.
The University of Winnipeg community honoured outstanding students, faculty, and staff: Annie McBay (4-year Honours degree program in Religion and Culture), Valedictorian ; Alana Lajoie-O’Malley, 50th Anniversary Sustainability Recognition Award; Dr. Patricia Fitzpatrick, Campus Sustainability Recognition Award; Dr. Narad Rampersad, Erica and Arnold Rogers Award for Excellence in Research and Scholarship; Barb Read, Clarence Atchison Award for Excellence in Community Service; Andi Sharma, Distinguished Alumni Award.
As well, Dr. Jack Zipes, a world-renowned scholar of fairy-tale studies and children’s literature and strong mentor to countless students and colleagues, was given an Honorary Doctor of Laws.
