Wesmen Challenge Goldeyes on Sunday May 10

BaseballFor the fourth consecutive year the Wesmen Men’s Baseball team will get a chance to play with the pros. The Wesmen will take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes in their special annual contest this Sunday (May 10th) at Shaw Park. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown out at 1:30 p.m.

“Once again this is a great opportunity for our players to experience the life of a minor league ball player. We appreciate the opportunity that the Winnipeg Goldeyes have given us to play them again in this annual event”, said Wesmen men’s baseball head coach Mike Krykewich.

Winnipeg recently finished their 2014-2015 season against NAIA, NCAA Division 2 opponents last week.

“The Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club is excited to once again host the University of Winnipeg Wesmen baseball team on Sunday at Shaw Park. The game has become an annual event, a game that showcases the talent that the Wesmen program is developing. The Goldeyes are proud to be a partner with the Wesmen program”, added Winnipeg Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier.

General admission tickets are $5.00 and are available at the Winnipeg Goldeyes Ticket Office located at Shaw Park
