UWinnipeg’s Dr. James Christie

The Associated Church Press, a North America-wide organization of Christian publications has recognized UWinnipeg’s professor Dr. James Christie with The Associated Church Press 2013 Award of Excellence (Best in Class) in the area of Theological Reflection, Short Form, All Media for his piece entitled Why is the Universe so Big.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with this North American Award for Excellence” expressed Christie. “It is a validation of a lifetime’s work of lecturing, teaching and writing in which I have striven ever to make complex theological thought both accessible and relevant to the contemporary reader, whether an expert or lay person.”

The Associated Church Press   honours its members’ best work annually. New and veteran newspapers, newsletters, magazines, journals, news services, E-zines and Web sites took home awards, as did members’ excellent entries in new categories: blogs, social media and video.
