Congratulations to Team Wesmen Men’s Basketball (MBB), champions of the 46th annual Great Rock Climb!
Team MBB captured the title with a time of 31 seconds. Team Westwood (33 seconds) and the aptly named Team Dwayne Johnson (39 seconds) placed second and third, respectively.
Former UWinnipeg president Dr. Henry Duckworth commissioned the installation of the rock in 1971 to commemorate the centenary of the opening of Manitoba College, one of the University’s founding colleges. The record time of 9.4 seconds was set in 1979 by three Collegiate students.
