UWinnipeg’s Science Rendezvous – watch magic happen

The University of Winnipeg’s Faculty of Science invites everyone to a free Open House at the state-of-the-art Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex, 599 Portage Avenue, Saturday, May 10 from 11 am to 3:00 pm.

Exciting new hands-on and interactive activities will let you analyze mutant fruit flies, discover the science of music, and observe how your breath can make magic happen, and enjoy an “explosive” chemistry magic show. Plus there are great prizes for completing the festival passport.

WHEN:    Saturday, May 10, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

WHERE:  Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex, 599 Portage Avenue

Each year, cities across Canada host a Science Rendezvous Festival, in partnership with Science Rendezvous, a not-for-profit science outreach organization. The goal of Science Rendezvous Festivals, which are free, is to celebrate publicly-funded science and technology in Canada in a fun and interactive way. This is the fourth year UWinnipeg is participating.
