Robert-Falcon Ouellette to teach at UWinnipeg’s Winnipeg Education Centre

The University of Winnipeg welcomes Dr. Robert-Falcon Ouellette to the UWinnipeg community this spring. Dr. Ouellette is teaching HIST-2525 Eyewitness to Canadian History, presented by UWinnipeg’s Winnipeg Education Centre and Department of History.

Dr. Ouellette gained attention and inspired many with his run for Mayor in Winnipeg’s 2014 civic election. He is a Program Director for the Aboriginal Focus Programs at the University of Manitoba, and a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council funded researcher on education and Métis issues of identity.

The unique course Dr. Ouellette is teaching will be delivered at the Winnipeg Education Centre at 511 Ellice Avenue starting May 14. Registration is limited to 20 students.

The Winnipeg Education Center (WEC) offers a Bachelor of Education/ Bachelor of Arts Integrated program, designed to prepare Early/Middle Years teachers, and grounded in meeting the needs and challenges of the inner city.
