Students at UWinnipeg had a random act of Juno* in Panagea’s Kitchen (Riddell Hall) today. The Random Act offered up the local indie folk-rock band Yes We Mystic as a lunch special. During the performance lead singer, Adam Fuhr handed a random UWinnipeg student a Juno award made out of chocolate.

During Juno week UWinnipeg will be turning up the volume with UWinnipeg Collegiate alumna and Juno award-winning singer-songwriter, Chantal Kreviazuk, on Wednesday, March 26 with a double feature.
Kreviazuk will be on campus in Convocation Hall to help launch a new performing arts program at her Alma mater at 10:00 am, followed by her receiving an honorary doctorate of letters at a Special Convocation at 12:30 pm.
Kreviazuk is being recognized for her humanitarian work and as a champion of human rights with her fellow global citizens and honorary doctorate recipients Dr. Denis Mukwege and Joseph Stern. For more information on this event please visit Special Convocation.
Then Juno strikes again on campus with Juno Awards Classical Music Showcase on Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 pm in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall. This event will highlight classical artists/NOMINEES and works by nominated composers such as Land’s End Ensemble with Antiphony Choir, Isabel Bayrakdarian, James Campbell, James O’Callaghan, Serouj Kradjian and Stewart Goodyear, plus works by 2014 JUNO Award nominated composers Allan Gordon Bell and Stephen Chatman.
