WINNIPEG, MB – The Workplace Bullying and Mistreatment (WBM) Partnership for Prevention, housed at The University of Winnipeg, is pleased to present a free Symposium Learning from European Innovations for Policy, Practice, and Decision Support on Thursday October 15, 2015, 8:15am – 4:30pm in Convocation Hall, University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Avenue.
This Symposium brings together researchers and professionals from universities, government, and industry to share results, experiences, and insights on managing and preventing this organizational and social problem. Topics include new developments in the UK, Scandinavia, and Germany delivered by keynote speakers Duncan Lewis (Plymouth University, UK; co-author Trouble at Work, 2012), Annie Hogh (University of Copenhagen; President, International Association of Workplace Bullying and Harassment) and Michael Knoll (Technische Universität Chemnitz; expertise on withheld complaints). Panel sessions focus on best practice for investigation and on assessing policy and program effectiveness, along with roundtable discussion on needs and next steps in knowledge and practice.
The public and university community are welcome to attend as observers. Open seating for observers is provided in the Convocation Hall balcony (up to 70 seats).
