The UWinnipeg community was pleased to host a town hall featuring Dr. B. Mario Pinto, President of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) at the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex on May 7, 2015.

More than 75 faculty, staff and community members gathered — one of the highest turnouts in the country – to hear Dr. Pinto’s ideas on research and innovation and share their feedback.

The “Connect with NSERC’s President on a Vision for 2020” consultation sessions provide researchers, students, administrators and stakeholders an opportunity to have input into NSERC’s 2020 Strategy Plan.

In the past six years, UWinnipeg researchers have received just over $6.4 million dollars in NSERC grants.
