New ImageDruxman “Bling Key” charm available now at UWinnipeg’s bookstore

Just in time for Mother’s Day, renowned Winnipeg jewelry designer Hilary Druxman, a graduate of UWinnipeg’s Collegiate, has created a new one-of-a-kind charm in support of UWinnipeg’s Opportunity Fund.

The “Bling Key” design is the third and final companion charm to Druxman’s “Education is Key” series specially created for The University of Winnipeg.

The “Bling Key” sterling silver charm is $25 and is now available at UWinnipeg’s Bookstore, located in the AnX at 491 Portage Avenue, and at Druxman’s store at 258 McDermot Avenue or at www.hilarydruxman.com.

All net proceeds go towards the Opportunity Fund.

The Opportunity Fund seeks specifically to support Indigenous students, new Canadians and refugees, and students from inner-city neighbourhoods, through fast-track bursaries and tuition credits. Most recently, it also provides tuition waivers to youth leaving the child welfare system, a program pioneered at UWinnipeg now being replicated across the country.

As of January 2014, just over $ 3 million has been raised and 1,443 fast track bursaries have been awarded to students in financial need, supporting more than 238 UWinnipeg graduates to date.
