Since graduating from The University of Winnipeg in 2003, Laurelly Dale has led a busy and diverse career. Dale attributes the foundation of her work ethic and ambition to skills she learned while studying at UWinnipeg. In particular, she credits the University for inspiring her to become a post-secondary instructor.

“I’m fortunate enough to have the privilege of working three jobs,” laughs Dale.

Dale, who holds a BA with a double major in Justice and Law Enforcement and Politics, currently works as the Director of Content Development, Small Law & Litigation at LexisNexis Canada; a criminal and civil litigator as a member of the law society of BC and the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario); and also a contract Instructor for Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Criminology Department.

Although Dale no longer lives in Winnipeg – she commutes between British Columbia and Ontario for work – she has not forgotten where she started her career.

“The University of Winnipeg helped me become what I am today . . . it instilled in me the need to work at a job that you’re passionate about and one that also assists in the larger contributions to society . . . “

Motivated by her passion for the law and a desire to help others, Dale also manages several pro bono files throughout the year as part of her busy schedule.
