Orientation 2014 is brought to you by MTS

The University of Winnipeg is gearing up to host new students and their families on campus next week for a day filled with food, fun and prizes. Registration is required to participate in one of the daily Orientation sessions between August 25th and 28th. Registration is now full for August 25th and the remaining days are filling up fast!

“We strongly encourage all new students to come out for Orientation,” says Director of Student Support Services Inga Johnson Mychasiw. “Not only is it an exciting chance to kick off the school year and meet other new students, but it’s also an opportunity to get ahead of the September line-ups for tasks such as buying your books, renting a locker or getting your student ID.”

Each Orientation session gets started with a free continental breakfast, followed by a rally, then information sessions and campus tours. In the afternoon the agenda is more flexible, students can grab a hot dog and take part in activities at a BBQ hosted by the UWSA (University of Winnipeg Students’ Association) before heading off to explore the services on campus that will benefit them the most.
