“Global Issues for people over 55: Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases” Lecture Series
Public health is very much in the news with the current listeriosis outbreak, and seniors can be particularly vulnerable. This lecture series is presented by a group of renowned researchers and educators who will encompass global questions and answers regarding:

Infections in Healthcare Facilities
A Primer on Listeriosis
How Canada’s “DNA Detectives” Find and Solve Outbreaks through PulseNet
Rift Valley Fever-from Outbreak to Benchtop and Back
Influenza and pandemics
Ethical Issues in a Global world; and International Justice Issues
An historical perspective of Infectious diseases
