Congratulations to UWinnipeg’s Professor Christopher Wiebe, Canada Research Chair in Quantum Materials Discovery, who has been invited to join the Advisory Editorial Board of the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter. The Board consists of top international scientists from around the world in the interdisciplinary field of Condensed Matter Physics – the science of materials and their properties.

“I am very pleased and honoured to be invited to the Advisory Board.  It is a great privilege to be recognized in this way, and also have the opportunity to help shape materials science,” said Dr. Wiebe.  “It is also a recognition of our current efforts at UWinnipeg to synthesize and understand new materials.”

Dr. Wiebe is currently a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Winnipeg and Director of the PRIME laboratory (Prairie Research Institute for Materials and Energy).  In addition to holding a Canada Research Chair, he is also a Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) and President of the Canadian Institute for Neutron Scattering (CINS).
