Call For Distinguished Alumni Award Nominees

WINNIPEG, MB – Do you know a University of Winnipeg graduate who has made a difference? The Distinguished Alumni Award honors University of Winnipeg alumni for outstanding contributions to their professions or their communities. Past recipients include Bill Norrie (1994), Fred Penner (1995), Lindor Reynolds (1999), Guy Maddin (2001), Rayleen De Luca (2006) and David Martin (2007).

To qualify, nominees must be alumni of The University of Winnipeg, United College, Wesley College or The University of Winnipeg Division of Continuing Education. The Alumni Council presents one Distinguished Alumni Award at each Convocation (Spring and Fall) of The University of Winnipeg. The recipient must be present to receive the award. The recipient’s photo and award statement will be added to the Distinguished Alumni Award wall in Manitoba Hall.

The deadline for receipt of nominations for 2008 is March 31, 2008. Nominations will be held for a period of two years.
