The University of Winnipeg held its annual Awards Night of Excellence on Thursday, November 28, 2013.
“We are very pleased to honour our outstanding scholarship winners and the generosity of our donors,” said Kam Holland, Director, Awards and Financial Aid; Acting Director, Admissions. “The University of Winnipeg provides approximately $3.9 million in annual awards to assist students– up from $2.6 million in 2007.”
This year over 210 students (with an average GPA of 3.94) attended the event, along with friends and family who helped to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.
The evening also creates an opportunity for the students to personally meet the very donors whose generosity enabled their awards (18 donors were in attendance this year) and to make connections that can last a lifetime.
