Dr. Jack Zipes presents a lecture on Fairy Tales through Picture Postcards

World-renowned scholar of fairy-tale studies and children’s literature and future UWinnipeg Honorary Degree recipient, Dr. Jack Zipes, will be presenting a lecture on Flying Fairy Tales: Reading Stories through Picture Postcards on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Campus sustainability awards to be given at convocation

UWinnipeg honours two campus sustainability champions, Dr. Patricia Fitzpatrick and Alana Lajoie-O’Malley, for their meritorious contributions to campus sustainability at the 2017 Autumn Convocation.

Dr. Nathan Hall is the 2017 James M. Flaherty Scholar

UWinnipeg’s Dr. Nathan Hall heads to the emerald isle of Ireland as a James M. Flaherty Scholar this January. He will be working with Dr. Fiona Chambers at University College Cork.

2017 Thanksgiving Closures

Faculty and staff are honoured at Autumn Convocation

UWinnipeg will honour Dr. Narad Rampersad with the Erica and Arnold Rogers Award for Excellence in Research and Scholarship; and Barbara Read will receive the Clarence Atchison Award for Excellence in Community Service at the 2017 Autumn Convocation.
